Al Hamra Golf Club

The Al Hamra Golf Club opened in 2007 is located in Ras Al Khaima. The 18-hole-championship-course with par 72 is a 7,325-yards-long links course. The layout originates from Peter Harradine. The course winds through a lagoon system within a luxurious living and hotel resort. One the one side, the golf course is flanked by the majestic Haja Mountains and on the other side by the Arabian Gulf. The fairways are wavy, the greens are fast. The entire course seems to be from a picture book. The lush green of the fairways and greens seems like a mirage. In addition, there are numerous lagoons and lakes on the course. The Al Hamra Golf Club offers five tees each and is suitable for golfers of all playing levels. The signature hole is hole 18: a par 5, where water runs along the fairway from the tee to the triple-protected green! The amenities at the Al Hamra Golf Club include a driving range, pitching and putting greens, training bunkers, and a short course. A highlight is the 9-hole-floodlights-course for a cooler round of golf after sunset. Of course, there is a pro shop and a golf academy with professional golf teachers. The course is rounded off by excellent restaurants, bars, and cafés. The Al Hamra Golf Club is only one hour by car from the center of Dubai. PR players are welcome – a handicap of 36 for females and males is required.
