Bergen-Hohne Golfclub e.V.

“Golf for everyone” is the motto at Bergen-Hohne Golfclub e.V. in the Lüneburg Heath. The golf course is in the district of Celle and looks back on an interesting history. It was founded as a British Army golf course on the edge of the military training ground in 1962. It is being managed by Bergen-Hohne Golfclub e.V. after the British troops left in 2015. The 9-hole park with 18 teeing points is in the middle of a forest. The relatively short course (5,812 meters for men and 5,155 meters for women) is challenging due to its narrow fairways and small greens. The terrain is flat, and the drives need to be accurate in order to reach the greens, or to pass over the trees and the roughs. Training facilities include a driving range with 10 sheltered teeing spots, a putting and chipping green as well as a practice bunker. Equipment (hire clubs and trolley) can be hired on request. There is a golf academy and a pro shop. The friendly Bergen-Hohne Golfclub e.V. welcomes guests. VcG players are permitted. A club membership ID with a registered handicap is required. There is a snack bar and a restaurant where golfers can take a break and socialize.
