Capital Public Golf Course

A beautiful golf course near the capital! Capital Public Golf Course lies in Narrabundah, a southeastern part of Canberra, close to the airport. The well-groomed 18-hole course with par 69 for men and par 72 for women is covered with bent grass and is entirely irrigated, as a result of which it even retains its beautiful and dense greenery during longer dry periods. The Capital Public Golf Course is a public course and well suited for players of all handicaps. The lanes have an overall length of 5,212 meters and run across very hilly terrain. About 30 bunkers, three ponds, and a brook form attractive hazards, and the narrow lanes lined by pine trees demand technique and precision, even from advanced golfers. Capital Public Golf Course is open every day and is known for its many tournaments during the week, which visitors are welcome to attend. The club, formerly the Vikings Capital Golf Club, is known as an “oasis in the capital” and is popular with golfers because of its casual and friendly atmosphere. On site, there is a golf school, a little pro shop offering rental equipment and other golf accessories, a cafe, and a kiosk. The Capital Public Golf Course has hosted the Australian Pitch & Putt golf championships twice. Guests are asked to register.
