Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club – River Course

The Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club is located in the very south of the Australian state of Queensland, right by the border to New South Wales, where the Tweed river flows into the Tasman Sea. The small town borders on one of the best known and most popular holiday areas in the country: the famous Gold Coast with its kilometer-long sandy beaches. The climate is tropical and the landscape is beautiful. The Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club is an extremely well-maintained and aesthetically designed golf facility with tall trees, blossoming flower beds, dense greenery, and numerous water hazards. These are not just a great eye-catcher, but also play a part in both of the golf courses. There are two 18-hole championship courses. They lie right by the Tweed river and partly also run through rain forest. Very beautifully designed holes, tricky doglegs, and strategically placed bunkers make both courses very interesting, even for golf pros. Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club was founded back in 1926 and belongs to the largest golf facilities in Australia today. Tournaments are regularly hosted here, such as the Twin Towns Open or Queensland Open. Guests are welcome, but prior registration is recommended. The club offers a very well-equipped pro shop and an excellent restaurant. This is a must for golfers vacationing on the Gold Coast!
