Country Club Tasmania

The Country Club Tasmania features a great golf facility in Launceston. It was opened in 1982 and designed by the world-famous golf course architects Mike Wolveridge and Peter Thomson. The course therefore displays the unmistakable qualities of a typical Thomson/Wolveridge design: The 18-hole course with par 72 is a mixture of links and parkland styles with large, athletically demanding fairways, numerous water hazards, and fast greens. The golf course is considered one of the best in northern Tasmania. The 6,053-meter-long course is open all year, guests are welcome at the country club at any time. For warming up and training – with one of the pros or without -, a driving range and a putting green can be used. There is also a pro shop on site which is well equipped and rents complete equipment, electric carts, and other things if needed. The Country Club Tasmania boasts a beautiful, perfectly maintained facility. Large, ancient trees divide the course and form great visual axes. Players of all handicaps will find optimal conditions here to spend a perfect day of golf. Launceston itself is the second largest city in Tasmania and lies in a picturesque landscape, where the North Esk river and the South Esk river flow into the Tamar and form a lake-like basin.
