Erster Golfclub Westpfalz

The Erster Golfclub Westpfalz is located in the western Palatinate Rieschweiler-Mühlbach, about 20 kilometers east of Zweibrücken. Founded in 1988 on the grounds of a 700 years old monastery estate with an eventful past, the club park spans across two height levels on an area of 76 hectares that is idyllically situated in the Schwarzbach valley enclosed by the Palatinate Forest. From Zweibrücken and Pirmasens, the Erster Golfclub Westpfalz is easily accessible via the A8 and L477. The parkland type 18 hole course is located on a hilly terrain with varied water and tree hazards. The tree population and the slopes of several fairways require a skillful game with a well thought through strategy. It is probably more challenging for beginners than for experienced players with a low handicap. The practice area includes a driving range with 22 tees that are partly heated. Seven tees are covered so that ambitious golfers can also practice in bad weather. Additional practice opportunities can be found on the three putting greens, the pitching and chipping greens and in the several practice bunkers. For this, clubs, electric carts and trolleys can be rented. In order to facilitate the entry for those interested in starting to play golf, the Erster Golfclub Westpfalz offers beginner and advanced classes as well as lessons to obtain a golf course license.
