Golf Club Alpino di Stresa is located in Vezzo, a district in the town of Gignese. The charming town lies in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province in the Piemont region of Italy. Founded in 1924, Golf Club Alpino di Stresa is one of the oldest golf clubs in the country. Nestled between Lake Maggiore and the equally famous Lake Orta, it is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Northern Italy. The clubs’s grounds are embedded into the lush vegetation in direct proximity to the lake. The club’s 9 hole course featuring hilly terrain is considered demanding. The course is of the mountainous type and was conceived by Peter Gannon. The entire course is skilfully integrated into the natural surroundings. For practicing, there is a driving range with 7 tees. Guests are always welcome at Golf Club Alpino di Stresa, but should present a club ID with handicap. On weekends and public holidays, prior registration is required and a minimum handicap of 54 applies. Golf Club Alpino di Stresa has a well-equipped clubhouse. Rental equipment including clubs, trolleys and electric carts are available at the Pro Shop. It is possible to take golf lessons taught by Pro Stefano Ortu.
