Golf Club du Val de Cher

The golf club Val de Cher is located in central French town of Nassigny in the department of Allier. It lies on the banks of the river Cher, embedded in a beautiful Burgundian palace garden with 100 year old oak trees. Despite its idyllic location in the Auvergne, the Golf Club du Val de Cher is easy to reach by car. Along the A71, one can reach the club in about 50 minutes from Bourges and in 105 minutes from Orléans. It was established in 1974 on the grounds of one of the famous, romantic Cher castles. The Golf Club du Val de Cher offers an 18 hole parkland course with par 70. The fairways are wide, surrounded by old trees, and laid out in two loops. Doglegs, bunkers, and many water hazards complete the picture of a typical parkland course. Novices and experienced golfers are challenged on this course, but not excessively. The club’s practice area includes a driving range with 18 tees, eight of which are covered, a putting and pitching area, as well as a practice bunker. At the on-site Pro Shop, golfers can purchase golf equipment, clothing, and various little items. Additionally, the Golf Club du Val de Cher rents golf clubs, electric carts, and trolleys to spontaneous golfers or those who want to master the 5291 meter long course with little effort.
