Golf Club Erfurt e.V.

The Golf Club Erfurt e.V. comprises 23 hectares of land in the town of Schaderode near Erfurt between the plateau Alacher Höhe in the Thuringian basin and Orphalgrund near Tiefenthal. It is approximately ten kilometers from downtown Erfurt and can be comfortably reached in 20 minutes by car. The golf club was founded in its beautiful environment in 1994 and opened a 9-hole-cours, type parkland, the same year. The course is considered an athletic challenge with its slightly hilly terrain and many water hazard; the fairways are interestingly designed and require precise game. Training possibilities can be found at the driving range with six range tees, of which three are covered, including putting, pitching, and chipping greens, as well as several practice bunkers. Those in need of professional help to better their handicap can receive lessons by Nepalese professional Rithe Sapktoa who has even played with Bernhard Langer during his golf career. Additionally, guest and experienced courses are offered. In R. Sapkot’s Pro-Shop, golf clothes and equipment can be purchased. Even rental clubs, as well as trolleys and electric carts can be rented at the club.
