Golf Club Pyhrn-Priel Windischgarsten

The Golf Club Pyhrn-Priel Windischgarsten is located in the town of Windischgarsten in the Upper Austrian region of Traunviertel. It can be found in the sunny Windischgarsten valley and offers a majestic view of the moor landscape of the Edlbach bog, as well as the surrounding mountains. In the north, the Golf Club Pyhrn-Priel Windischgarsten borders the national park of the Upper Austrian Chalk Alps with the Sengsen mountains and the Hoher Nock. In the west lie the Dead Mountains with the Warcheneck and in the south the Haller Walls with the large and small Pyhrgas. The club is at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level and can be reached via the A1 and A9 from Linz, Graz, Vienna, and Salzburg. It was founded in 2004 and boasts the 18-hole Windischgarsten course with par 71 designed by Diethard Fahrenleitner. This is played in two contrary 9-hole rounds. The first nine fairways lead away from the clubhouse towards the mountains; the second nine fairways form a bow around the Edelbach moor back to the club house. The course is challenging to play with its varied ground structures. Ten fairways stretch over even terrain, eight fairways over slight raises and hills. A driving range at Golf Club Pyhrn-Priel Windischgarsten is available to golfers with 40 tees, of which eight are covered, a short game range, a putting and pitching area, practice bunkers, as well as a rain tee hut.
