Golf Club Schloss Meisdorf e.V. is nestled between the Harz mountain range and the Magdeburger Börde in the sloping landscape of the Harz foothills above the Selke Valley. Located close to the picturesque village of Meisdorf in Saxony-Anhalt, it is framed by deciduous woods, meadows and fields in the immediate vicinity of the Parkhotel Schloss Meisdorf hotel. Opened in 1996, Golf Club Schloss Meisdorf e.V. is the first and only 18-hole golf course in Saxony-Anhalt. Designed by Olaf Osterkamp, the course spans close to 70 hectares of hilly terrain with 10,000 square meters of water and 18 water obstacles. In part, the difference in altitude can amount to more than 50 meters. The course was designed for an ambitious, fast-paced game – a delight for more advanced golfers. However, beginners are more than welcome. Training facilities include a driving range with 15 tee-off points, six of which are sheltered, as well as putting, pitching and chipping greens and a practice bunker. Golf equipment like clubs, trolleys or electric carts are available for hire at the Golf Club Schloss Meisdorf e.V. Guests might also be interested in the Van der Valk Germany Golf Trophy – an open tournament. The clubhouse restaurant or the “Altes Schloss” restaurant at Parkhotel Schloss Meisdorf, which is only 500 meters away, provide meals or snacks for hungry golfers. Those interested in culture can visit the nearby historical sites Falkenstein Castle and the Konradsburg.
