Golf de Champagne

The golf club Golf de Champagne is situated in the northern French municipality of Villers-Agron-Aguizy in the department of Nord-Pas-de-Calais–Picardie. It is embedded in a hilly terrain spanning 70 hectares, surrounded by ash, oak, and pine forests, and containing valleys that streams and river flow through. Golf de Champagne is well connected to the city of Reims via the A4, which takes about half an hour, as well as to France’s capital Paris, from which the golf club is reachable within 75 minutes. The golf club was established in 1987 and accommodates an 18 hole parkland course with par 72. It was designed by Jean Claude Cornillot. The terrain of the 5760 meter long course is very hilly and contains a lot of forest, bunkers, and water hazards such as the river Semoigne, which flows through the golf course. Beginners and experienced golfers can have an enjoyable round of golf here. Golfers complete the course in style, receiving a complementary glass of champagne after every game. In Golf de Champagne’s own golf school, golf pro Laurent Percherancier, a former French golf champion, gives lessons. Good practice possibilities are available with a driving range with 18 tees, five of which are covered, as well as a putting and a pitching green. Trolleys, electric carts, and electric trolleys are available to rent for golfers.
