Golf de Dieppe-Pourville

The golf club Golf de Dieppe-Pourville is situated between the coastal cities of Dieppe and Pourville-sur-Mer in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region of Normandy in northern France. It runs along an area of 60 hectares in the cliffs of Dieppe on the Alabaster coast and allows a wonderful view of the white chalk cliffs of Pourville and Varangeville, on the English channel and the valley of Pourville. Golf de Dieppe-Pourville is well connected to the coastal towns. The trip from Dieppe takes ten minutes via the Rue d’Issoire and six minutes from Pourville-sur-Mer via the D75. The club was founded in 1897, making it the oldest golf club in the Normandy and the seventh oldest in France. It features a golf course designed by the celebrated British golf course architect and golf player Willie Park Junior. He created an 18 hole parkland/links course with par 70 which presents high demands to golfers of all handicaps, sometimes as an English park landscape and sometimes as a links course. The course is considered technical and athletic. Its 5804 meters stretch through a hilly and wooded terrain. Countless trees and two large water hazards shape the course. Golf de Dieppe-Pourville has already hosted the French Open three times, speaking for the high level of the golf course.
