Golf de la Drôme Provençale

The golf club Golf de la Drôme Provençale lies near the towns of Clansayes and Saint Paul Trois Châteaux in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in southern France, which belongs to the department of Drôme. It is located on an area of more than 18 hectares originally used for agricultural purposes, which offers a wonderful view of the Rhônetal. Surrounded by lavender, herbs, olive trees, vines, and broom, the golf club Golf de la Drôme Provençale is situated in a typical Provence landscape. It is easy to reach from the little towns in the area. On the D133, it takes just eight minutes to get to the golf club from Clansayes and Saint Paul Trois Châteaux. Grignan is just 14 minutes away via the D541 and Montélimar 25 minutes via the D133. From Avignon, Golf de la Drôme Provençale can be reached in about an hour. In 1990, a 9 hole course with par 35 was opened. The course is very hilly with narrow fairways and fast greens that are lined by olive trees, cypresses, and pine trees. Bunkers and doglegs present further challenges to this athletically and tactically demanding golf course which can be played by both golf beginners and experienced players. The clubhouse of the Golf de la Drôme Provençale is located in a Provencal country house from the 17th century, underscoring the rustic romanticism of the golf club.
