Golf de Saint-Claude

The Golf de Saint-Claude golf club is located near the small village of Villard-Saint-Sauveur in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, where the department of Jura can be found, in eastern France. Situated in the center of the regional natural park of Haut-Jura, the club offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Tacon river valley, Mont Chabon and the Hautes Combes mountain range. The Golf de Saint-Claude spans across 20 hectares of land and has very good transport links connecting it to the surrounding large communes. The small town which gave the club its name, Saint-Claude, is only 8 minutes away via the D436 and D290. When travelling by the D13 and D124, Golf de Saint-Claude is 40 minutes away from Oyonnax. The golf club can also be easily reached from Geneva in Switzerland in just 90 minutes via the A40. The club has an 18 hole, par 67 course of the mountain/woodland type, which was designed by Michel Vuillermoz and opened in 1992. The course is very hilly and is 4,860 meters long. With its bumpy, relatively wide fairways and few water hazards, the course is appropriate for both beginners and experienced golfers. The Golf de Saint-Claude offers golfers a 75 square meter driving range with 22 tees, 6 of which are covered, a putting green and a 3 hole short course to practice long and short games.
