Golf de Tina

The golf club Golf de Tina is located in Nouméa, the capital of New Caledonia, an island group in the southern Pacific Ocean that belongs to France. It stretches across an area of 80 hectares in a park surrounded by mountains, allowing a beautiful view of the mountain peaks and the ocean. Golf de Tina lies ten minutes from the city center of Mouméas and can comfortably be reached via the Rue Jacques Iékewé and the Rue Max Fouin. The golf club was founded in 1994 and features an 18 hole links course with par 72. Golf course architect Jean Michel Fresnel was in charge of its design. He created a 5600 meter long course that is both varied and challenging. The first nine holes run along a hilly terrain into a typically New Caledonian dry forest, while the last nine holes stretch along a lagoon and a grove of mangroves. Long fairways, partly elevated greens and tees, doglegs, bunkers, and large water hazards challenge golfers of all handicaps and demand athletic, tactical, and technical know-how. Particularly the last holes of Golf de Tina’s course present a few special features. The ninth hole is lined by palm trees, holes 11 and 12 are located in the mangroves. Hole 13 demonstrates a picturesque island green, and hole 15 lies right by the Pacific.
