The Golf Klub Beograd lies on the edge of the Serbian capital in the southwest of Belgrade. The golf course profits from a particularly quiet location, since it was set up on an island-like area directly by the river Save. Nonetheless, Golf Klub Beograd can be reached quickly via the highways A1 and 26 from the surrounding area. The golf club was originally founded in 1936 under the patronage of the former kingdom of Yugoslavia. The golf course was first run at a different location in Belgrade but was closed during World War II and not reconstructed until 67 years later at its current location. In addition to its natural terrain, the parkland type 9-hole golf course (par 34) consists of numerous artificial obstacles in the form of lakes, sand bunkers and vegetation. Especially at the third, seventh and eighth hole, the greens are defended by cleverly positioned sand bunkers. On the fourth and sixth fairways, little lakes bring the possibility of losing a ball. Near the comfortable clubhouse, the Golf Klub Beograd offers a modern driving range as well as a putting green and a pitching green. At the clubhouse, guests can rent clubs and electric carts as well as purchase golf fashion and equipment from the Pro Shop.
