Golf-Park Winnerod

Golf-Park Winnerod is located in Reiskirchen in central Hesse, around ten kilometers northeast of Gießen. It offers views of the Taunus and the Vogelberg mountain. Situated on the northeastern outskirts of the town, it is a few minutes’ drive from Gießen via the B49. Golf-Park Winnerod was founded in 1999 on the grounds of the former aristocratic Winnerod estate. The three-story, half-timbered estate building, which is one of the largest half-timbered houses in the Gießen countryside, now houses the golf park’s club restaurant. The 18-hole championship course with a par of 72 was designed by Michael Pinner and also opened in 1999. It impresses with wide fairways on hilly terrain, strongly undulating greens and water obstacles. Beginners as well as experienced golfers can show their skills here. Golf-Park Winnerod also provides golfers with a public 9-hole short course with a par of 3 that is easy to master. The lanes are between 90 and 160 meters long and are well-suited for warm-ups, training or for getting used to the course. The training section of the club has a driving range where golfers can improve their shots at 50 tee-off points, eight of which are sheltered. The players can also train in the putting, pitching and chipping area, which also has practice bunkers. Clubs, trolleys, electric trolleys and electric carts are available for hire, and caddies can be booked on request. It is recommended that beginners take part in a trial session, a beginner course or a development class at the club’s own golf academy – Golfschule Wagener.
