Golfanlage Zollmühle

At Golfanlage Zollmühle, golfers play on historic grounds. The beautiful Franconian golf course is located where, long ago, the Romans demarcated their empire from Germanic tribes using a limes. Nowadays, armed just with clubs and a golf bag, the Roman limes can be crossed peacefully just before hole 17, coming from Germanic territory. The 18 hole championship course with par 72 was created in 2004. The course was perfectly integrated into the gorgeous natural space with a creek so that the varied fairways offer ideal conditions for all levels of handicap. Trees, hedges and water hazards structure the undulating course with its wide fairways. The 9 hole short course is publicly accessible and is an excellent training ground for beginners. There is also a spacious 300 meter long driving range with 40 tees (10 of which are covered) and several putting, chipping and pitching greens. The indoor golf park Gunzenhausen is another highlight. The clubhouse is located in the courtyard are of the historic Zollmühlen estate. After the game, guests can indulge in culinary highlights and enjoy the view of the course from the terrace. Not for from Golfanlage Zollmühle, several historic towns such as the Baroque town Ellingen, Weißenburg or Würzburg are interesting destinations for day-trippers.
