Golfclub Andermatt Realp

Opened in 1997, the Golfclub Andermatt Realp is located in the middle between Locarno and Interlaken at 1,500 meters above sea-level and can be reached via the Furkastraße from Andermatt. The very hilly terrain of Golfclub Andermatt Realp is typical for golf courses in the canton of Uri. The 9 fairways (par 33) are often referred to as the “most alpine golf course in the world” due to the natural obstacles and the extreme differences in altitude along the 1,900-meter-long course, best traversed with a golf bag and electric cart. The Golfclub Andermatt Realp is playable daily for club members and day guests (with official course experience). The numerous streams, hollows, waves, and changing wind conditions demand a very tactical game, even from professional golfers. To improve one’s golf techniques, the Golfclub Andermatt Realp offers a practice bunker and a driving range with 8 range tees, each with a putting, pitching, and chipping green. Especially impressive are the breathtaking panorama views of the surrounding Swiss Alps. Tradition and nature of the region were taken into consideration when the clubhouse was expanded in 2012 which always boasts a warm atmosphere. On the course, two to three different tournaments or friendly meetings of different golf clubs take place weekly.
