Golfclub Curau e.V.

Golfclub Curau e.V. is in the Stockelsdorf district of Curau in the center of Ostholstein, only a few kilometers from the Hanseatic city of Lübeck and Bad Schwartau. It is embedded in the meadows and fields of the Holstein landscape and can easily be reached via the L185 from Lübeck and Bad Schwartau. Founded in 1998, Golfclub Curau e.V. now calls a 23-hole park its own. The hilly 18-hole blue/red course with a par of 72 was opened in 2010. Due to its elevated greens, cleverly placed bunkers, waterways and roughs that cut across and frame the fairway in two places, the course demands a high degree of concentration and professional probity from the golfers playing on it. The publically accessible 5-hole short course with a par of 48 can be completed by beginner golfers, but due to its hilly terrain with several water obstacles it also poses a challenge for experienced players. The club’s practice area has a 250-meter long driving range with around 40 tee-off points, six of which are sheltered. In the summer the balls are teed off on the grass. The practice facilities also include putting, pitching and chipping greens as well as training bunkers. Clubs, trolleys and electric carts are available for hire. Newcomers can acquire initial golf skills in the trial sessions and obtain their golf license in the more advanced classes. Suitable golf gear can be purchased in the club’s own pro shop.
