Golfclub Emstal e.V.

The Golfclub Emstal e.V. is located in Lingen within the unique nature of the Emsflusstal. The club was founded in 1977 and owns a very beautiful 18 hole course on an area of about 90 hectares. The par 72 course is arranged in line with the surrounding nature. It runs along old branches of the Ems river as well as directly alongside the Ems itself. It crosses through forest aisles and is marked through an old tree population. The entire park is said to be one of the most beautiful in Northwest Germany and has been repeatedly ranked as one of the top 50 courses in Germany. It was designed by the golf course architect Tony Ristola based on the idea of “golfing in accordance with nature.” Water hazards consisting of wetlands and wide trenches as well as large sand hazards require a precise game. Partly, the greens are strongly undulated. The Golfclub Emstal e.V. is very athletically active and carries out many club tournaments during the golf season from April to November. For practice purposes, golfers can use the driving range with 18 tees (8 are covered), the putting, pitching and chipping greens as well as the practice bunker. The golf school teaches lessons or classes, a Pro Shop is on-site, too. If needed, golfers can rent clubs, trolleys and electric carts. The golf restaurant indulges members and guests with culinary highlights.
