Golfclub Geierstal e.V.

The Golfclub Geierstal e.V. is located amidst the nature reserve Ohrnbachtal/Geierstal. It belongs to the climatic spa on the ridge of the Odenwald and is the only nature golf club in South Hesse. From Darmstadt golfers take the B47 and from Heppenheim the B460 to the Golfclub Geierstal e.V. The club founded in 1988 owns a public woodland/meadowland type 9 hole course with par 64. Its partly hilly, natural fairways, forest teeing points, streams and wetlands make it suitable for beginners but still demands a certain level of skill from golfers. Mogul slopes and greens that consist of mown grass require precision and focus when playing. The practice area of the Golfclub Geierstal e.V. has a driving range with eight tees as well as putting and chipping greens. The club’s own golf school offers trial, beginner and advanced classes and lessons to obtain a license to play golf courses. The clubhouse of the Golfclub Geierstal e.V., which is built in natural wood construction, offers golfers a pro shop, drinks and snacks.
