Golfclub Gut Berge Gevelsberg/Wetter e.V.

The Golfclub Gut Berge Gevelsberg/Wetter e.V. is situated in the southern Ruhr Area between the towns Gevelsburg and Wetter (Ruhr), both belonging to the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis. Located in the midst of the Niederbergisch-Märkisch hilly countryside, it offers a wide view of the surrounding fields, meadows, valleys and forests. Due to its proximity to the A1, it has a great traffic connection to the Ruhr Area and its periphery. From Hagen, which is 10 kilometers away, the club can be reached within a few minutes; from Dortmund and other Ruhr cities the drive takes about 30 minutes. The Golfclub Gut Berge Gevelsberg/Wetter e.V. was founded in the year 1995. Its 18 hole course was opened on an area of more than 100 hectares around the Gestüt Gut Berge, which has been family-owned for 300 years. The course with par 71 and its design put significant demands on golfers concerning their fitness and strategy. Its hilly terrain accommodates old and new trees, wetlands, many strategically placed bunkers, a few water hazards and borders. The vast, wide fairways facilitate the game while slopes and differences in height complicate it. Golfers can prepare for this on the driving range of the club with its 35 tees, nine of which are covered, all with installed floodlights. Additionally, there is a putting, pitching and chipping area as well as a bunker in order to improve one’s handicap and game.
