Golfclub Habichtswald e.V.

The Golfclub Habichtswald e.V. is situated in the North Rhine-Westphalian town Westerkappeln-Velpe on the border of the Habichtswald in the Tecklenburger and Osnabrück Land. It is surrounded by forest and hills of the TERRAvita Natur- and Geopark and due to its varying altitude, it has a great view of the Osnabrück and Münsterland region as well as of the Teutonian Forest. Located 15 kilometers west of Osnabrück and 3 Km from the Lotter Kreuz, the Golfclub Habichtswald e.V. can be easily reached via the A30. It was founded in 1981 and has a parkland type 18 hole course with par 73, which was designed by the popular golf course architect Christoph Städler. The hilly course has an interesting fairway design with ponds, bunkers, old trees and several doglegs that can make some players sweat. Furthermore, the public parkland type 6 hole short course with par 19, which was opened in 2014 is a perfect supplement and exercise occasion. With its length of 537 meters and its lightly hilly terrain, it is a great alternative for all kind of golfers. The practice area of the Golfclub Habichtswald e.V. includes a small driving range with 10 tees, of which five are covered, 2 putting greens and one chipping green. There is a 3 hole short course as well. Golfers can rent clubs, electric trolleys and carts, and trolleys on-site for a relaxed game.
