Golfclub Lechfeld e.V.

Not far from the public golf course Königsbrunn, there is another golf club in the Augsburg region: Golfclub Lechfeld e.V. Founded in 1984, the club is located on historic grounds – a former battle ground. On August 10, 955, Holy Roman Emperor Otto I was able to end the Hungarian invasions militarily in the Battle of Lechfeld. The battle went down in history and is considered the hour of birth of the German nation. Nowadays, the grounds are popular among sports enthusiasts. Golfers can expect a 5,870 m long 9 hole course with par 72. The course is flat, but nevertheless varied and interesting. Doglegs, roughs and water hazards demand precision. Little lakes add further structure to the course. One of the most beautiful parts of Golfclub Lechfeld e.V. is at hole 7, where players are faced with a large lake and a 420 m long fairway. For practicing, there is a driving range as well as pitching, chipping and putting greens. The golf club is athletically ambitious and organizes several tournaments throughout its season ranging from April until October. Furthermore, the golf school offers trial and license courses. Equipment can be borrowed or purchased in the Pro Shop. Guests are welcome. A club ID with handicap (PE) is required. VcG players are admitted. Players and guests can indulge in culinary highlights in the golf restaurant.
