Golfclub Plauen e.V.

Golfclub Plauen e.V. is located on the outskirts of the Planau district of Steinsdorf, surrounded by the Vogtland, Elster and Ore mountain ranges as well as the Thuringian Forest. It is only about 15 minutes from Plauen city center and can easily be reached via the B92/B282 heading towards Schleiz/Greiz/A9. Founded in 1998, Golfclub Plauen e.V. is located on a large complex that spans 36 hectares and offers wonderful panoramas of the German highlands on the Saxon-Thuringian border. The hilly 18-hole course with a par of 63, designed by Hans-Joachim Tilch, is open to the public. Club membership is thus not required. Dotted with numerous water obstacles and sand bunkers, the parkour is considered challenging but can also be completed by beginners. Dependent on membership developments, Golfclub Plauen e.V. is planning to extend the current course to 27 holes. Golf enthusiasts can take part in trial sessions, golf classes as well as handicap improvement lessons, and rent golf clubs, trolleys or electric carts at the club. Golfers can improve the skills they have learned on the practice course at Golfclub Plauen e.V., which has a driving range with 20 tee-off points, putting greens, pitching greens, chipping greens and a practice bunker.
