Golfclub Saarbrücken e.V.

Situated 30 kilometers northwest of Saarbrücken, the Golfclub Saarbrücken e.V. is located on a high plateau of about 340 meters, which belongs to the municipality Wallerfangen-Gisingen. From here, golfers have a fantastic view of the Saar valley, the Hunsrück and the hilly countryside of Lorraine. The club is easy to reach via the A620, B405 or A8 when coming from Saarbrücken. The Golfclub Saarbrücken e.V. was founded in 1961 and has an 18 hole course that invites golfers to play on a hilly area of 50 hectares that is scattered with old trees. It was designed by the famous golf course architect Donald Harradine, who equipped the fairways with water hazards like artificial ponds or wetlands and numerous bunkers. Thus, golfers encounter a challenging course of medium difficulty that requires focus and precision. In order to master it with excellence, the driving range with its 20 tees, of which 16 are covered, the putting, pitching and chipping greens as well as the practice bunkers offer plenty opportunities to practice. Those visiting the Golfclub Saarbrücken e.V. without own equipment can rent electric carts and trolleys.
