Golfclub Schloss Teschow e.V. is located near Lake Kummerow amidst the idyllic bird and nature reserve in Mecklenburg Switzerland, not far from the town of Teterow in the heart of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Schloss Teschow, a 16th century estate that was converted into a classicist castle, is easy to reach from Berlin as well as from Hamburg and Rostock via the A19, A20 and A24. The most prominent owners were the von Blücher family; one of their descendants was the legendary hero who fought Napoleon in the Battle of Waterloo. Golfclub Schloss Teschow e.V. was founded in 2000 and opened two golf courses on the grounds of the former castle gardens in 2002. The 18-hole course “Am See” with a par of 72 is harmoniously embedded within the landscape and allows golfers to enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Teterow. The slightly hilly area features sophisticated water obstacles, like reed beds and ponds, as well as impressive old trees. Golfers require ability and technique. The publically accessible 9-hole course “Am Silberberg”, on the other hand, is easy to play on. The on-site pub “von Blücher” also houses the club’s pro shop. In terms of training facilities, Golfclub Schloss Teschow e.V. offers a driving range with 120 tee-off points, eight of which are sheltered, as well as practice bunkers and putting, pitching and chipping greens. Clubs as well as electric carts and trolleys are available for hire.
