Golfclub Zierenberg Gut Escheberg e.V.

Golfclub Zierenberg Gut Escheberg e.V. opened its golf park in 1995. It is harmoniously embedded in the Habichtswald forest around Kassel in the north of Hesse. The club has an 18-hole course as well as a 4-hole course named the “Old Course”. The center of the park features the historical manor “Schloss Escheberg”. The course is very hilly and challenging, but still remains fair. Many greens are well defended by bunkers and water obstacles. Several holes have a dogleg, and some greens are not visible from the tee-off point. This course requires tactics and precision, partly because the holes are framed by roughs. Hole 4 is the longest on the course, stretching across 536 meters. It leads uphill, so fitness is required. Players are rewarded on the greens with wonderful panoramic views of an almost fairytale-like forest atmosphere. Golfclub Zierenberg Gut Escheberg e.V. has excellent training facilities and a driving range with 18 tee-off points. The 4-hole course is open to the public and can be accessed without a course permit. The club is competitive and ambitious, offering license courses and taster sessions at its golf academy. Equipment can be hired or purchased in the on-site pro shop. The club’s “Restaurant Kepinski” as well as a wonderful beer garden with panoramic views awaits players and guests after their game.
