GolfPark Gudensberg

GolfPark Gudensberg is in the Gudensberg district of Obervorschütz, around 20 kilometers south of Kassel. Nestled in the Chattengau region in the Schwalm-Eder province of North Hesse, the club is situated amidst an impressive landscape with traprock mountains. Golfers can enjoy great views of the Schlossberg with its two peaks, the ruin of Obernburg, the Wenigenburg (castle) and the romantic community of Edertal. GolfPark Gudensberg can quickly be reached from Kassel via the A49. Founded in 2006, the club’s golf park spans an area of 12.2 hectares. It accommodates the 1,450-meter-long 9-hole GolfPark Gudensberg course with a par of 26 in the inland style, which was designed by Georg Boehm and Christian Althaus. The course is open to the public, and its flat, slightly hilly design makes it suitable for beginners, too. The club’s driving range, which is 300 meters long and 150 meters wide, is one of the largest in the region. It has 22 tee-off points, ten of which are sheltered, and its floodlighting enables training in the dark. There is also a 25-meter-long, sheltered tee line as well as a large putting and pitching area with bunkers, spanning an area of 450 square meters.
