The Humpty Doo & Rural Area Golf Club lies just half an hour away from Darwin, the most northeastern large city in Australia. It features a public 9-hole course with par 72 and a length of 6,025 meters. With two tee positions at every hole, it can also be played as an 18 hole course. The wide, flat fairways of the Humpty Doo & Rural Area Golf Club make walking pleasant. Electric carts are also available on site. The club was founded in the 1980’s, and the beautiful facility in the bushland has developed outstandingly ever since. During the game, tame wallabies frequently cross golfers’ paths, and a large number of parrots and other tropical bird species can be seen. The course is not very difficult in athletic terms, but is characterized by bunkers and water hazards. Trees in the middle of the fairways also make the game interesting and demand technique and concentration from golfers.
