Karachi Golf Club

The Karachi Golf Club was founded in 1891 in the Federal State of Sindh, making it Pakistan’s oldest golf club. The venerable club in the country’s largest city has been located on its current grounds in the Karsaz district since 1953. The first 9-hole course was designed as a desert course, undergoing extensive renovations over the years, with new vegetation planted. Renowned golf course architect Peter Harradine added nine holes to the course in 1992, extending it into a championship course. Another 9-hole course was added in 1993. Since then, the three courses are labelled as the Blue, Yellow, and Red Course, and players can combine the different course during a round. The 27-hole facility with par-72 courses can be played all year. Gorgeously designed ponds and bunkers create exciting obstacles as well as real landscaping highlights. The spacious property exudes soothing stillness. The Karachi Golf Club regularly hosts large tournaments such as the Pakistan Masters Golf Championships. The practice area consists of a driving range and a par-3 driving range. On site, there is a golf academy, weight room, and a pro shop. The ambience of the Karachi Golf Club is easygoing and relaxed. The clubhouse, with restaurant and terrace, is beautifully located, with flowerbeds and flowering bushes surrounding the inviting building. Here, people meet for a cold drink or hearty meal after a round of golf, while taking in the views.
