La Cumbre Golf Club is located in the small town of La Cumbre, which is part of the Argentinian province of Córdoba. It lies at 1,200 meters above sea level, on the grounds of the former Estancia San Geronimo in the Valle de Punilla and allows a beautiful view of the Sierras Chicas mountain range. Via Av. Argentina, La Cumbre Golf Club can quickly be reached from the center of La Cumbre in just three minutes, while the journey from Córdoba via the RN 38 requires nearly two hours. The club was established in 1924 and boasts an 18-hole parkland course with par 70, the design of which stems from John Dentone. He created a 5,487-meter-long course with narrow fairways and small, very fast greens which runs along a hilly terrain with ravines and displays considerable altitude differences. Its layout in La Cumbre Golf Club is shaped by numerous doglegs and bunkers. Hole 12, nicknamed “the little volcano”, is particularly remarkable, featuring a very difficult green with an elevated tee and a length of just 60 meters. Even Argentinian golf icon Roberto de Vicenzo required 12 shots to complete the hole. The championship course ranks among Argentina’s most beautiful golf courses and hosted the first PGA Tour of Professionals in 1999.
