Llanwern Golf Club

The Welsh golf club is located in the picturesque town of Llanwern in the county of Gwent and boasts 27 holes: The 18-hole course is 5,650 meters long, and a 9-hole practice course is also available. The golf course was opened in 1937 and is counted among the oldest clubs in southern Wales. The beautiful club is not far from Newport in a majestic, forested landscape. Via the M4 (exit 24), it can be quickly reached by car. The course itself is intermediately difficult and flat. It offers players of all handicaps several athletic challenges. Small ditches, trees, and narrow fairways demand precision and concentration. Guests are always welcome at the well-maintained facilities; a special handicap is not required. The golf course at Llanwern Golf Club offers individual lessons and golf courses. To warm up or practice, there is a driving range with practice greens in addition to the short course. A well-stocked Pro Shop is available at Llanwern Golf Club. The atmosphere at the club is friendly and familial; visitors enjoy meeting after golf at the club house. Players can review their day of golf with friends and good food. For those that have more time, a visit to nearby Newport with the largest transporter bridge (the Newport Transporter Bridge). Built in 1906, it crosses the Usk.
