Lolivarie Golf Club

The Lolivarie Golf Club is located near Saint-Germain-de-Belvès in the region of Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charente, which belongs to the department of Dordogne. It lies in the middle of the Périgord Noir in southwestern France, the landscape of which is characterized by dark oak, poplar, and pine forests. Trees also shape the Lolivarie Golf Club, which sits in the valley of the Dordogne and runs along a small river. It has good transport links to the surrounding cities of the Périgord and is easy to reach regionally. From Saint-Germain-de-Belvès, the Lolivarie Golf can be reached in seven minutes on the D51, and from Siorrac-en-Périgord, which is often named as its home, it takes just four minutes along the same route. The next biggest city of Sarlat-la-Canéda is half an hour away via the D25, and Périgueux, the capital of Périgord, an hour via the D710 and 703. It was founded in 1984 and an 18 hole woodland course with par 72 opened in the same year, designed by golf course architect Jean Louis Pega. In 2003, it was reconstructed by DUC. The 5896 meter long course features a flat to slightly hilly terrain with narrow fairways, bunkers, as well as water hazards, and is surrounded by forests. It presents an athletic and tactical challenge for both beginners and experienced players, which is however, manageable.
