Marlborough Golf Club

The Marlborough Golf Club is located in the midst of gorgeous vineyards in Fairhall, not even a ten-minute drive from Blenheim. The club was founded in 1900, which makes it one of the oldest golf clubs in New Zealand. The 18 hole, par-72 championship course is open year-round, and always in top condition. The course measures 6,052 meters and is well suited for players of all handicaps. The course is never very full as the club only has 400 members, which also explains why guests are always welcome. They can delight in the handsome course with only a few bunkers and several ponds and streams. Each hole of the Marlborough Golf Club has a different character and demands other skills of golfers, which makes for a very interesting round of golf. The practice area is perfect for training and the new golf hub offers equipment and support. If you want, you can book training hours here or rent motorized golf carts. The cheerful clubhouse was completely redesigned in 2009 and has a bistro and a bar, where people meet to share a glass of excellent New Zealand wine from the surrounding area. You are almost obliged to visit one of the 30 vineyards in the immediate surroundings! The ambience of the Marlborough Golf Club is friendly and relaxed, as is the climate, which is pleasant in the northern part of the South Island, with a lot of sun throughout the year.
