Mérignies Golf Country Club

The Mérignies Golf Country Club golf club is located in the northern French municipality of Mérignies, which belongs to the department of Nord in the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. It spans an area of 185 hectares of arable land, which was previously part of the La Valutte farming estate. Because the Mérignies Golf Country Club is in the French Flanders countryside of Pévèle, which is considerably more hilly than the otherwise flat area around Lille, golfers have a beautiful view of Pévèle and the surrounding picturesque houses. The club has good transport links to the next largest cities of Lille and Arras. It was founded in 2008 and boasts a 27 hole links course park with par 74, designed by Michel Gayon, one of the most famous golf course architects. It comprises three 9 hole courses that can be individually combined. Val Brand has par 37, measures 3200 meters, and was opened in 2008. It is a technical course with wavy fairways that wind through numerous bunkers. La Valutte, with par 34, is 2600 meters long and has been in operation since 2010. It is a links course with a Scottish appearance, particularly preferred by beginners. Rupilly has par 37, is 3300 meters long, and was opened in 2014. It is the most hilly and most technical of the courses and offers a view of the towers of the Rupilly castle.
