Ohope International Golf Club

The Ohope International Golf Club is situated in an enchanting location on a promontory by the Bay of Plenty. The 18 hole course runs over the narrow swath of land between the Pacific Ocean and Ohiwa Harbor. The par-72 links course was designed by renowned golf course company Harris & Wolverine and Thomson, opened in 1975, and extended later on. The facilities are located in a nature reserve, around 15 kilometers from Whakatane. The course is challenging and offers breathtaking, spectacular views, for example of the harbor and the Whale and White islands in the background. The latter is volcanic, is of volcanic origin and you can see the billowing smoke from the fairways. The course of the Ohope International Golf Club consists of undulating fairways and great greens, and the club is always delighted to accept guests. There is a bar and a cafe as well as a pro shop and professional golf teacher on site. Additionally, the clubhouse of the Ohope International Golf Club offers striking views of the harbor and Pacific Ocean. The club is open year-round, and it is around a one hour and twenty minute drive from Tauranga; the drive from Rotorua takes around one hour. Ohope is renowned on the North Island for its gorgeous beach and many hours of sun.
