Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club

The Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club is located some kilometers south of Quinta do Conde in the Azeitão region between the castles of Setúbal and Sesimbra. It is located under cork and pine trees and surrounded by beautiful villas on the edge of the Parque Natural da Arrábida. From Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club, players have a beautiful view of the Arrábida mountains with the imposing Arrábida monastery from the 16^th century. Only 30 minutes from Lisbon, it can be quickly reached via the A2. It was founded in 1994 and boasts an 18-hole course, type parkland with par 72, designed by the American Rocky Roquemore. The course is equipped with many woods, fast greens, as well as well-placed bunkers and traverses a hilly plateau. Golfers must partially cross a road in order to reach the next tee. Water was conservatively used in the design, but in a sophisticated manner. Hole 8 is nearly entirely surrounded by water. Additionally, golfers must golf over a lake at holes 12 and 16. The course at Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club is one of the ten best golf courses in Portugal and was voted one of the top 100 courses by Golf World Magazine in 2014.
