Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort

The Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort is located on the Portuguese Silver Coast on the Atlantic, above the lagoon of the medieval city of Óbidos, in the region Oeste. From the resort, one has a terrific view of the lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. 13.2 kilometers southwest of Óbidos, the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort is easily reached via the EM573. Only around 100 kilometers from Lisbon, visitors can quickly reach the club via the A8. Founded in 2010, it has its own 18-hole championship course that was designed and opened by the famous Severiano Ballesteros in 2012. The slightly wavy, 6,695-meter long Royal Óbidos Golf Course is characterized by its varied design that demands athleticism and tactical skills from players of all levels. Six holes are located in the middle of lakes that are connected by cascading waterfalls. At hole 12, the fairway is interrupted, while at holes 14 and 18, doglegs with island greens can be found. Although Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort only opened its golf course a few years ago, it is already counted among the top 100 golf courses in Europe. Golf World Magazine voted it number 82 of the top 100 golf courses in continental Europe.
