The Sandford Springs Hotel & Golf Club is located in Hampshire in the breath-takingly beautiful hilly landscape of Watership Down. Many people recognize the place from the book “Watership Down,” by Richard Adams, who lived here. Sandford Springs has three 9-hole courses: The Lakes, the Woods, and the Park Course. Every course offers golfers different challenges based on its location near water, woods, or the park. The well-maintained course has long been counted among the best courses in the area and has hosted numerous tournaments and other events. There is a driving range, practice greens, as well as a professional golf school on-site. Complete equipment is available for rent at the on-site Pro Shop. The club restaurant at Sandford Springs Hotel & Golf Club pampers guests and members alike with an excellent kitchen. Visitors enjoy relaxing there after a round of golf, reflecting on the day. A 4-star hotel, opened in 2013, also belongs to the club. Sandford Springs is therefore particularly well-suited for a golf weekend. The course is situated near the A339 between Newbury and Basingstoke. It takes only 40 minutes to reach Reading.
