Thana City Golf & Sports Club

The Thana City Golf & Sports Club is located directly in the approach corridor of Suvanabhumi airport. The drive from downtown Bangkok takes just 25 minutes. It is the only course in Thailand designed by Greg Norman. The 18-hole, par-72 course opened in 1993. Thana has already hosted larger tournaments several times, such as the Thailand Open 1991 and the Kosaido Thailand Ladies Open in 1994. The last round of the Johnnie Walker Super Tour took place on the course in 1995 and 1996. The facilities at Thana City Golf & Sports Club underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2010. The course is very diverse, with fast greens that require precise swings. Numerous water hazards and strategically positioned bunkers, many with high edges, offer exciting challenges for all handicap classes. No less than four different island greens require precise approach shots and a clever gameplan. The course is characterized by plenty of sand, used to give the course a seaside flair. The facilities at Thana City Golf & Sports Club are very well tended. The clubhouse with restaurant was also renovated. The club features a clubhouse with a restaurant, a pro shop, a swimming pool, and a practice area with a driving range and golf academy.
