Torremirona Golf Club

The trip to Torremirona Golf Club alludes to the beauty and tranquility that awaits visitors at the golf facilities between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. The 18-hole course with par 72 was opened in 1993 and meticulously and harmoniously designed by the renowned golf course architects Eugenio Aguado and Jordi Soler in the historic county of Empordà. The course offers interesting playing variations and beautiful view of the Pyrenees and the nearby Mediterranean with its slightly wavy, otherwise flat fairways, with water hazards, bunkers, and numerous dog legs. The championship course is well-suited for every handicap class. The tricky island green at hole 5 is one of the course’s highlights. The training area at the Torremirona Golf Club also boasts a large driving range with 50 tees and practice greens (putting, pitching, and chipping greens). The club’s golf school offers various private lessons and classes. It is also possible to rent or purchase an entire set of equipment at the Pro Shop. Gourmet food lovers love to meet at the club restaurant El Canigó to eat Mediterranean dishes. For those more interested in culture, the city of Figueras is only 15 minutes away by car and boasts an interesting historic city center: It is the hometown of the Catalan painter, Salvador Dalí.
