Capel Golf Club

The golf club lies about 15 kilometers south of Bunbury, the second largest city in western Australia. Founded in 1928, the Capel Golf Club has been at its location in Chatham since 1964 and boasts a beautiful 18-hole championship course with par 72. The 6,000-meter-long course was designed by golf course architect Murray Dawson. The fairways run along a gently hilly terrain. All holes are protected by strategically placed bunkers. Even experienced golfers need concentration, strategy, and technique on the course. Beautiful trees, including jarrah, banksia, eucalyptus, and peppermint trees, surround the fairways, where tame kangaroos also like to hang out. Open all year round, the Capel Golf Club is very active competitively and organizes a large number of tournaments every year. Guests are welcome, but they are asked to register outside of weekends and observe the dress code. The sporting offerings also include a generous driving range with practice greens, bunkers, and a pro shop. The welcoming club house with a bar serves as a casual meeting point after the game and offers a grand view of the beautiful golf facility. Capel Golf Club lies near the Pacific ocean, where kilometer-long beaches run along the coast. Perth is about 180 kilometers to the north of this tranquil stretch of land.
