Golf Club Burg Overbach e.V.

The Golf Club Burg Overbach e.V. was established directly on the border of the municipality Munch in the Oberbergische Land. Embedded in the lightly hilly landscape around the medieval Burg Overbach from the 15th century, the club’s area of 84 hectares allows a great view over Munch and from the Bergische Land to the Siebengebirge. With its convenient location near the A3 and A4, the Golf Club Burg Overbach can be reached within half an hour from Cologne and Bonn. It was established in 1884 and includes an 18 hole course with par 72 that is particularly challenging. It has large greens, slopes, wetlands, ponds, streams, some doglegs, 69 trickily arranged bunkers and borders that require good fitness from golfers. A cart is almost a must for the ups and downs of this athletically challenging course. For beginners it is recommended to start with the public 3 hole short course, which is also part of the practice area of the Golf Club Burg Overbach e.V. A driving range with 20 winter-proof tees, five of which are covered, await those who want to practice here as well. Furthermore, there are three practice greens, two pitching and chipping areas with bunkers as well as a sloping position simulator. Caddies can be hired upon request and clubs, electric carts and trolleys, and trolleys, which make getting across the hilly area more easy, can be rented.
