Golf Club d'Aix-les-Bains

The Golf Club d’Aix-les-Bains is located in the middle of the spa town Aix-les-Bains in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, which lies by the banks of the Lac du Bourget at the edge of the French western Alps. It stretches across a 45 hectare area next to the horse racing track and allows a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain tops and the city. The Golf Club d’Aix-les-Bains provides a good connection to the cities of Annecy and Geneva in Switzerland via the A41, from which the club can be reached in 30 to 50 minutes. It was founded in 1904 but did not open an 18 hole parkland course with par 70 until 1913. The rather flat, 5519 meter long course features long, narrow fairways, small greens, many plateaus and trees, as well as numerous water hazards that wind through the course such as the little river Le Tillet. It is suitable for both beginners and experienced golfers, but is considered challenging due to its mostly very technical fairways. Golfers can train for this on the Golf Club d’Aix-les-Bains’ driving range which has 15 tees, five of which are covered. A putting and a pitching green are also available to golfers. Located in France’s first spa town, the Golf Club d’Aix-les-Bains owns the oldest golf course in the region of Rhône-Alpes.
