Golf & Country Club Oudenaarde - Ankerplatz

The Golf & Country Club Oudenaarde is located on the grounds of the magnificent 19-century Petegem castle in the romantic Flemish Ardennes mountains. The club owns two athletic 18-hole courses that offer golfers of every level ideal playing conditions. The parkland course stretches across a magical park landscape along the slowly flowing Schelde. Ancient trees, numerous water hazards, and strategically well-placed bunkers characterize the Kasteel (par 71) and Anker course (par 72). The latter was designed to be somewhat more open and offers players a view of the majestic clubhouse. There, the club restaurant invites visitors to enjoy a meal or snack after a round of golf in the castle bistro. The Golf & Country Club Oudenaarde is located on history-rich ground which includes ruins of one of the oldest castles in Flanders from the 9th century, as well as the ruins of St. Clara Abbey which can be seen from the Kasteel course. The Golf & Country Club Oudenaarde is counted among the most beautiful golf courses in Belgium. The park course with both perfectly maintained courses, as well as practice areas and the majestic castle – constructed by Baron Auguste Pycke de Peteghem in 1847 – in the background can hardly be beat.
