Golfclub Lungau/Katschberg

The Golfclub Lungau/Katschberg is located in the Salzburgian town of St. Michael im Lungau in the Valley of the Mur, at the foot of the Speiereck. It is set in an idyllic meadow landscape with ponds and wet biotopes. Its fairways are transected by the Mur and offer a great view of the Lungauer mountains in the southern Salzburg area. From Salzburg and Berchdesgaden, the Golfclub Lungau/Katschberg is easily reached via the A. Founded in 1993, it boasts an 18-hole-course with par 72, designed by Keith Preston. 18 fairways grace its flat terrain that are perfectly integrated in the surrounding area. Its athletic character is due to its numerous dog legs, bunkers, ponds, water ditches, island greens, as well as a barn that is located directly in the middle of a fairway. Beginners prefer the public Lungau9 course at the Golfclub Lungau/Katschberg that experienced golfers also use to warm up. The golf school Graimann on-site was the first PGA certified golf school in Austria. Those interested can attend guest, beginner or advanced golf courses, as well as practice in the putt, pitch, and chip clinic.
