Golfclub Radstadt

The Golfclub Radstadt is located in Radstadt, the “old city in the mountains.” It is surrounded by woods and offers golfers a wonderful view of the Radstadter Tauern, the Dachstein silhouette, and the battlements of the medieval old town from which the club is only two kilometers south. Via the A10, one can easily reach the Golfclub Radstadt from Salzburg and Berchtesgaden in an hour. The club was founded in 1991 and offers an 18-hole championship course, type “mountain” with par 72, in addition to a public 9-hole academy course with par 27. The championship course is hilly and boasts, despite being a mountain course, a very beautiful island green. The terrain demands concentration when playing and is more suited for experienced golfers than for beginners, as they will feel more at home on a shorter and simpler compact course. At the driving range with its 50 range tees, of which 12 are covered, a 9-hole short course, and a putting and chipping area it can be trained. The Golfclub Radstadt has a golf specialty: the “Birdiejet” is the only golf gondola worldwide that transports golfers to the tee which then hit the ball nearly 1,000 meters downhill. An incomparable experience. That and probably much more has moved 5.000 Golf in Austria-guests to vote by majority, the Golfclub Radstadt to the Golfclub of the year 2018.
